messed up neck

Unread post by felix » Fri Feb 06, 2004 11:32 am

i havent played my guitar for a couple of days and today when i got it out of the case its action was high as shit. i am guess that the neck is warped. would this be from being to wet or too dry? ive had a dampit in it and the humidity guage looked fine when i got it out. anyone know what could have happened?

take it and hold the bottom of the body to about where your nose is and close one eye and look down the face of the neck.. check and see if it looks level all the way down.. if not take it to your guitar tech and get him to fix it..

Conversely, Hold your guitar with your headstock by your eye, and look at the line made by your neck, it should not end up looking like it ends up too far below your saddle. Your guitar may be too damp, thus causing the top to swell, pushing the saddle up.
