My low E string is slightly sharper at the 5th and 7th fret than open. Does anyone know of an easy way to fix this?

I just say that I want my guitar set-up, and tell the luthier (sp?) about some of the problems I've been noticing.
You would tell him/her about your E string.
I have a question though, how often should this be done? Just when you notice a problem, or once a year when the weather changes?
I don't want them to fuck-up my guitars by working on them too much.
