Most Embarassing Moment
Is there any moment as a guitarist where either you were very embarassed, or u messed up really bad?
My kinda messed up story is that I had an eye exam right before a Battle of the Bands concert. I forgot that my pupils were dialated and I was blinded really bad when I went on stage. I searched for 5 minutes before finding a pair of sunglasses I could use on stage.
Thats my story, feel free to post urs!

I dont think i've had one moment that really stands out but I've had lots of other times when I've stood around with my instrument with a bunch of other people who were playing and not known what to do. This one time some friends of mine were donig some jazz stuff, and I really didn't know much about jazz at the time, and it was at a party..long story short I stood their looking like an idiot hitting root notes..it sucked..from then I promised myself that I would learn to play jazz just in case that ever happened again! ^^

one time i was playing a rather slow song. it was late in the set. maybe an hour or so i had been playing. and the song was long and my hands were kinda sweaty. well, during a chord changes i was trying to change my hand position to keep it from slipping and PPPPPPRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAANKKKKKKKKKKK. the loudest noise imaginable. my hand totally slipped off the neck of the guitar. everyone looked up at me and i just shrugged my shoulders and went back into playing. luckily there was a bassist playing with me so he kept the rhythm while i regained my compossure.
we actually have a recording of this performance so it is funny to listen to. you know this God awful noise is coming and then bam. and people start laughing.

I was playing a law school party with my friend. About halfway through the night, after much beer drinking, I farted something fierce! It was the most potent, stagnate, lingering smell I have ever released upon the world. Needless to say, my friend didn't appreciate it much. The worst part about it, is that about two seconds after, a bunch of hot law school girls came up to the stage with requests. They all kind of looked at each other funny. I couldn't help but laugh my ass off! My friend couldn't help but laugh either. I took a break imediately affter the song was through, and promptly ran to the restroom. When I came back, it was still there!!! After two more songs, it finally went away. So let this be a lesson to you all. Bring incense with you always. 8)
Peace!!
Peace!!

this didnt happen to me but to my friend. we were sitting around playing and i put my pick in my mouth like some people do. he gave me a weird look and i asked why. he said that once when he was on stage before the show he put his pick in his mouth so he could use both hands to adjust something it fell and he took a really deep breath and started to choke on his pick.hahahahaha somebody had to give the heimlich(man i spelled that wrong) and now he never puts his pick near his mouth.
o and four eyes...damn that mustve been one hell of a fart.

Some friends of mine were at one open-mike night I played to support me (yeah, right). Anyway, some guy tripped on a cord, and we had to rewire everything. Then, my friends jokingly booed, and the crowd started with them! Finally, once we had actually started, I was going to launch right into WWYS, and our sound got screwed up. Our drummer couldn't hear, I had no mike, and the bass guy was standing wondering what happened. We went off, got everything fixed, and skipped the song. We figured Ants Marching would be a better way to start, and end. We got a kick-butt response from the audience, and all was good. Suffice to say, I learned quite a lot from that one experience!
