yea man I was agreeing with you :D
You get alot more control with heavier string too, but I think some of the ultraheavy=tone stuff is a little exaggerated.

i am talking about an electric...on an acoustic it is easier to solo with light strings...the best way to develop speed is get a gripmaster.

i actually put electric strings on my acoustic. i wanted to see if they'd work. and they didn't, at all. i took them off before even finishing tuning it. haha

I use the elixer mediums, and dont like light strings, they seem to sound twangy to me????? Any one else feel this way?

I was using Martin SP's medium for about 4 months and then the other night I switched back over to D'Addario EXP lights and it's great, they feel so easy to play with now.
