washburns are wonderful...taylors and gibsons and martins are great, but i feel like if i bought one i'd be afraid to play it...just cuz it was so expensive...but washburns are like the moderate level. they're great guitars. i seriously play my guitar so hard, i'm suprised it doesn't fall apart on my lap. until this random bridge problem...haha...i haven't ever had any problems with it.
and by the way, i got the problem fixed. just bought some new knobs (or nuts whichever you like to call em) and took the old ones out. also got some lighter strings with more flex in em. works like a charm now. thanks for the response
guitar troubles...help
You might also have a little burr that is causing your string to snap after it rubs against it. Take a little piece of fine-grit sandpaper and gently slide it through the groove in the bridge a couple times. This might get that burr out. I've also seen people run the tip of a pencil through that groove too..it might loosen the burr too and the graphite will reduce the fricition in there.. even if by a little.
