CRACK!!!!
CRACK!!!!
From the current very cold weather I am living in and frequently bringing my guitar in and out of the cold from my car to the bar to my home my guitar cracked from the difference in temperature. The crack is from my bridge tail piece to the base of the guitar. It looks like at the end of the crack where it meets the base of the guitar is through the wood. It starts off light and then the crack appears to get darker. How much would this cost to repair... scenario A its not throught the wood, scenario B it is through the wood. This guitar has serious sentimental value and is my only 6 string acoustic. Not to mention its a taylor with an additional fishman pickup system. If anyone knows if I could take care of this my self or how much would it cost to fix?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'm not sure I fallowed you on where the crack is exactly. I do know that the top is bookmatched and there's a seam running thru it. This is good news as it doesn't mean the wood is actually damaged it just came unglued. You should check the bridge too as it could be affected I'm sad to say it will probably run a hundred bucks at the very least and you probably won't want to fix it yourself. That sucks.
