try this...
powertabs. it shows the music and plays it out loud so you can see it and hear it in real time. go to http://www.power-tab.net/downloads.php and click the download for the first one. once that is done, go to http://www.powertabs.net/pta.php?page=artist,316 and get the tab you want. it is so much better than old tab.

hey i read your problem and seen how you wanted to do it for your wife and I thought it was cool. So I registered just to give some kind of help. :D Anyway I use a program called Guitar Pro and you can get it at http://www.guitar-pro.com. After you install the demo go to http://www.mysongbook.com and search for the Coldplay tab. The site may take a couple of tries to come up and get the tab, I guess their server is slow. Now i dont know if this tab is 100% accurate but since you only need the rhythm I think it should work. Hope it all works out

(also if for some reason you cant get the tab pm me and ill figure out a way to send it to you)

thanks for the heads up. I just got side tracked for a few hours on Black Veil. I was using my Garcia book for that one. Amazing the difference between two artist's interpetation of one song. Gotta say I really enjoyed Harris and Mathews version on the country channel.

I duno about powertabs....they don't do much for me. They are an interesting, and clever way to learn, say, fingerpicking songs or songs without many chords. At least for me, I find it alot easier to figureout strumming patterns for chords through covers, etc. If you could post that cover you were talking about, it would be greatly appreciated. :)

second that idea, could not hurt... I might finish the song I started to write for her instead. It might go furthur in her eyes. Hate how its there and gone though.
