I used to do the ole middle finger - thumb - looks like your playing with a fist technique and I was doing fine, but I switched cause people told me it was wrong. It was really awkward at first learning the right way but now its so natural and seems so right, and when I go back to trying it with my middle finger and thumb, its the most awkward awful feeling thing.
good, and you?

they make picks for fingerpicking that wrap around your thumb. They make you seat the pick the right way. Try getting on of those. Also in pictures I have seen it looks like dave really chokes up on the pick.

Everybody always asks me how she's doing. Has she really lost her mind? I said "I couldn't tell you, I've lost mine."

Some one on another topic had the idea to punch a hole in the middle of the pick. pure genius. you get all possible traction on that thing. haven't dropped one since.

and i like the "click" of the pick. it gives it that real rhythmic sound like you got someone playing a shaker along with.
