guitar shop
i know there are some fellow south jersey folk in the audience, and i've got a question for you all. i just moved back down here, and i'd like to find a shop (other than guitar center) where i can go and get a setup done. anyone have any recommendations in the area?

most guitar centers i've gone to don't do their own set-ups but typically have contracts with an outside tech shop. i know this is the case in chicago and st. louis, cuz i asked for the name of the shop and just went straight to them. you might just go to GC and ask if there are other shops to do "intricate" or "detailed" work and they'll help you out. then buy a pack of strings and they're happy.

Honestly I don't like the Guitar Center in Cherry Hill (for acoustic guitars anyway). The people there are not really customer friendly, and it is way over priced. I find it good for only going in and jamming on the expensive Taylors and Martins. I usually go to the Pitman Music Museum near me in Pitman, NJ (20 minutes or so from Cherry Hill). They are cool and do work well.tbillie41 wrote:i'm in marlton, so the closest GC is the one in cherry hill. i've actually heard that they do good work there. I think i just need a setup done, but i'm not sure.

I don't have an addy on hand. I just know how to get there from my house. If I get you the physical address of the place, I think that you might be able to get there using Mapquest or whatnot...
The addy for it that I found is:
Music Museum
405 South Broadway
Pitman, NJ 08071
(856) 589-4318
This is a link to the map...I hope it works
