So i'm learning walkdowns from my teacher.....i've got them down in C,G,D,A,E.......i've perfected that and lessons arn't for another 5 days. Anyone want to either reccommend a next step or perhaps know where i can get tabs or explainations of other walkdowns. thanks

I would also be interested in this. I am learning the song Walk the Line. I must say I am doing okay with it after just starting up with lessons again after about 2 months.

i'm refering towards something like this. For example, a C walkdown: (excuse me if i get a couple of the chord names a little off)

C, B/G, Am, Am with G in the base, F, not sure this one i'll tab it lower, Dm, and finally G

e---0
b---1
g---0
d---2
a---x
e---x

I've learned the C, G, D, A, and E walkdowns....lookin for more, thanks

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.

It looks like you have them down with all the chords except for B and F, but those are barre chords so walk downs are not as practical as when you have open chords. I would make sure you can also "walk up" those chords i.e. starting at Am and then walking up to the C.

The trick to hammer ons is twofold: first you need to build up your finger strength either by playing a lot or using those squeeze things. The other key is to have good action on your guitar. My first POS yamaha had the worst action, the strings were damn near impossible to just press down, so forget about hammer ons.
