Painting a guitar
I have this old ventura electric from the 80's that I want to rebuild and repaint. What I want to do is wood stain the back of the guitar with polyshade and then spray paint a stripe on the back of the guitar, much like the stripe on many acoustic guitars. The problem is that the when I spray paint the stripe on the back it keeps bubbling up. I am open to ideas on how to do this, so anyone?

that website has a lot to tell about refinishing a guitar. spray paint isn't really going to cut it and is going to end up looking pretty crappy.
you can buy real paint from that site for the same price a can of spray paint from the hardware store will cost.
