He creates the tabs from videos. That is what he meant. Now that he had videos of Dave playing each song then he was able to tab each song from watching Dave play.

Stay Or Leave

I was just wondering if you'd thought about tabbing "Stay or Leave" with a capo on the 2nd fret using chords from the key of C, so the song would still be in the same key (D) but would have a much fuller sound from having the capo moved back FIVE frets...i tried it and it seems to sound much better...im sure you can do it yourself but i wrote out the first part just to give you an idea...keep in mind i dont tab...i just read'em and play'em...thanks...

Am C F -> G, F Am7 C C/B back to Am (chords relative to capo on 2nd)

chorus :

Dm F C G

99% of the time he will just tab songs the exact way Dave plays them, so playing this song with a capo on the 7th fret gives it the most accurate way of playing in raised B tuning

Yes me too , but depending on the action on the guitar and the guitar build itself , it can be wierd playing all the way up there , but if you want you could learn the standard tab :)

Hey Jared, no apologies needed- you've created a kick ass site and pretty much taught us all how to play DMB songs when before I thought it was pretty much impossible. Keep us updated on how things are going with the DVD. Do you plan on making videos for all of the songs? They really do help out a lot. Good luck with the DVD project!

Hey, great job on the tabs! Simply the best. Got one question that maybe someone can help me with. For some reason, when I try to play the videos on my computer, nothing shows up, though I have quicktime. Any help or suggestions? Thanks

Yes, you need to have DivX on your computer to be able to play it. I believe you can get it at http://www.divx.com, if not I'm sure someone can clear it up, hoe this helps :-)
