Stone ?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Stone ?

Unread post by schubox » Tue Jan 14, 2003 1:11 am

Ok I am a little confused on the verse. I know he plays this part during th verse

E:-----------------------------------------------
B:-----------------------------------------------
G:-----2--------------------3-------------------
D:---------3---5-5--2-3-2---x---5-5--2-3-2--
A:-5------------------------1-------------------
E:--------------------------3--------------------
4 1 2 4 4 1 2 1 4 4 1 2 1 4 1
but do you go back to the beggining and keep play htis part over and over and then close the verse into the chorus with this:

E:----------------------------------------------------------------------
B:----------------------------------------------------------------------
G:-----2--------------------3-------------------2-----------------------
D:---------3---5-5--2-3-2---x---5-5--2-3-2---------------3--0--2--------
A:-5------------------------1----------------5-----3--1-----------3--0--
E:--------------------------3-------------------------------------------
4 1 2 4 4 1 2 1 4 4 1 2 1 4 1 2 1 4 2 3
Or do you play that everytime over and over until you get to the chorus. I hope that makes sense, I'll try to clarify if you don't understand what I'm askign.

If I'm understanding correctly, It's the 2nd way you described that is correct.

in other words, this whole thing is repeated in the verses:

E:----------------------------------------------------------------------
B:----------------------------------------------------------------------
G:-----2--------------------3-------------------2-----------------------
D:---------3---5-5--2-3-2---x---5-5--2-3-2---------------3--0--2--------
A:-5------------------------1----------------5-----3--1-----------3--0--
E:--------------------------3-------------------------------------------

and not just:

E:-----------------------------------------------
B:-----------------------------------------------
G:-----2--------------------3-------------------
D:---------3---5-5--2-3-2---x---5-5--2-3-2--
A:-5------------------------1-------------------
E:--------------------------3--------------------
I also recommend downloading the video on Kazaa of Dave playing on the Charlie Rose show. you'll see and hear him nice and clearly

So the second way, i just keep playing that over and over then go to the chorus? I was just wondering cause Kanter's tab says the verse ends pn, so I was wodnering if that was the ending to the verse or if it just kept looping, i think I got it now, thanks.
