the slide in ants marching

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

the ba da dum after the G, the higher you slide that, the cooler it sounds! try it! (try and get to the D -- 12th fret)
B+P by offer only...thank you

I've hit the 16th Fret on my full body dread, and yes, it sounds sweet! That's about the farthest I've got up the neck. Cause it's a bitch to get back to hit taht D chord ;-) But, yeah, it definitely sounds cool! ;-)

Hi, I am new here, I am andy. Nice to meet ya'll. In ants, are you referring to the verse section after the G? I always play that as more of a hammer than a slide. Personally I think it sounds better, but everyones ears are different! take care!

I think we agree that the way it was written is better, but he was pointing out that changing it is cool too. Welcome to the boards Andy!
