When did dave start performing

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

In November of 1990 he recorded his first four songs solo.----The Dave Matthews Band started playing their first gigs in April and May of 1991.

As for when he started to play he took his first lessons at age 9 and he did not like it at first.

Just happed to buy "Dave Matthews Band Step Into The Light" today and the first chapter goes over the the start of the band.

Actualy, it says in Step Into the light (and I have it actualy to my left, I was looking at the nice pictures), Dave's first time on stage was with timmy. And before dmb, he did a small band thing with Timmy, Carter, Greg, and I forget who else, for either one night or two. Then dmb came together in the basement, and boyd showed up for one track that Dave asked him to play on, which is Tripping Billies.

I got this book last week, and am on page 120. Dave started guitar at 9, and as previously said, he didn't like it at first. Dave's first performance was with Tim's band TR3. in which tim asked the stage crew at millers to set up and extra mic. cause someone is singing with them that night. that was dave's first performance as far as I know..
