Dave and Friends Tour question

Unread post by PlayLikeDave » Sat Jan 03, 2004 10:58 am

I was at the 12-15 show, and if someone has asked this one before, I apologize (I was at home recently).
Have those who have gone to the shows or heard/seen video of them began to listen to Some Devil more?

I didn't really like a lot off of the album (grey blue eyes, Dodo, Some Devil, etc). But all of the songs off of the album are so much better live with the whole band going insane. This made me listen and almost really like SD a lot more. I listen to most of the songs now (with the exception of grey blue eyes and An' another thing).

So has the D&F tour changed anyone's opions/play habits about Some Devil?

peace
I love you oh so well, like a kid loves candy and fresh snow.

Were you one of the 18,000 ppl shouting out all of the lyrics to all of the songs? Cuz I definitely only knew the choruses and some of the verses, other than that, I was lost. Now I am found so to speak.

I deffinatley like the album a lot more, yet I havent really been listening to it for some reason. I think Ill be listening to the liver versions more than the cd, especially the 12/20 show cuz I was there. I dont think anything could get me to listen to grey blue eyes or an another thing off the SD cd though, but live is different.

The only songs I know that are about her is Halloween and Ill back you up. Some people think that Grey Street is about her too. Her name was Julia Grey btw. I think some devil is about his sister anne or his dad. but that my opinin

oh i got ya, the "you said always and forever" part kinda confused me cuz it sounded like he was wanting her back or somen, it kinda inspired me to write a "what if" kinda song about my ex, like what if we never eneded ya know... though im terrible with sticking with titles so i'll just keep it as my what if song for now... either way some devil is a sweet song

other than that, the album is great IMO
