Can someone give me some help with Granny. When i plan it the song sounds sloppy. If you have a finger chart of the song that would help. thanks.

instead of playing xx775x i play xxx75(x or 0 here). That seems to help me out.

you can also use the Dsus chord: xx0230 > xx0232 if you want. i learned it that way first.

i use Dsus, i was never really comfortable with it the other way and it makes the upslide a lot easier

It all sounds the same, thats the only song i cut the corners on. You gotta think outside the paradigm sometimes

what parts are giving you trouble? there are 3 different parts to the song.

my advice is to learn the tab (on this site duhhhh) and then practice the song by playing along and listening to an acoustic version of the song like Live at Luther.

that's how I learned pretty much every song.

on granny Dave usually mutes the first four strings naturally when he goes up to play the slide riff. Then the bassline has a quick tricky rythym of 333 22 x . Try to strum it the whole way through and try to keep it as clean as possible without hitting the A or E string at all.
