Problems with Captain?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Since I've heard this is one of the hardest ones to play I wanted to ask yall if you struggle with it...

I think the stretch is the only hard part, I find my hand giving out after I play the verse a few times. The third chord is like the 3rd in the #41 intro, the last chord is like Billies, but couple those with the other two and I can't make it.

it's hard for me to sing the "how could i..." part, but the guitar is fine i guess.

I play the crazy tab...I think that version of the song is much better. And even though its the way dave plays it, I dont like how he cheats and uses the 222 A chord, and the 221 E. Weak shit.

By the way, if you are having trouble with the song, and youre playing Crazy instead of Captain, youre probably having trouble cause the tab here is wrong. I'll post Catherine's tab (accurate) if anyone is curious.

I learned Crazy some days ago. I think it got it perfectly down now... It's much more fun to play solo than Captain is.

I've played it before it was Captain, and was Crazy. Defiantley one of my favorite dmb songs to play hands down. I only had a little problem with the rythm of the chorus for a little bit, but got it down (and thanks to this site, accurately).

"how could I" part?

is it the same as "why should I" in Crazy?

I love the sound of that part, especially in the 2/7/97 version.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Its interesting to record myself singing and realize how out of tune I can be sometimes.
