Imagine?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Anyone have "Imagine" tabbed out, as performed by Dave w/ Blues Traveler?

it's very basic. The way Dave plays imagine is very simple open chords, minus the F chord.

here it is

verse
C Csus4 F

Middle
F C Dm C G

Chorus
F G C Csus4 Em7 (might be just E7, not really clear on that)

I play it closer to the way John played it acousticly, with my own little things to make it sound even closer to the piano version.

Anyways, hands down, the greatest song ever written. If I had a religon, these lyrics would be my bible.

not having a religion kinda implies that this song is your religion. isn't that the whole point of the song. it's basically a communist/socialist song and lines up with those idealogies quite well.

Here, I'll explain the song. The only thing about how it's close to socialism is that everyone works and shares the world respectfuly and peacefuly under their own consence, not forced by government.

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No Hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

-ok, this is saying carpe diem, basicly. Imagine that there is no after life, and that it is just this, and that we should take life and charish it. Carpe Diem, seize the day.

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religon too
Imagine all the people
living life in peace

-Ok, this is saying about how wars and hate come about. Wars have mostly been either country to country for land or power, or wars started over different religons. If we could take off these labels of ourselves, we could get along better. We are who we are, not what country we are or religon, we are who we are.

Imagine no possesions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood (sisterhood) of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

-Ok, this is saying what if we could trust eachother with our poessions. If we could share everything peacefully. Money, objects, words, we could share them all. We could trust everyone too. and there would be no greed, and people would have the food they need to have to live, and not die of starvation.

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
And the world will live as one

-this right now isn't happening, and some people say it won't. But, the people who do, will not close their arms, but will always accept them for the vision. Where sometime, someday, this may be true. It isn't right now (not even close) but if we worked hard, and evovled mentaly, maybe someday, this dream will be.
