Cortez help

Unread post by 1eyed_jack » Wed Oct 22, 2003 1:34 pm

Hey everyone, me and my friend are working on a cover of Cortez, we arent very good, but he has the acoustic part down pretty good. I was wondering what I can play on the electric to add to the song. Like I said I'm not very good, and I don't know scales. Any help would be great, thank you.

Scales are pretty damn important, and know what is in what key. Check out this place http://www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/g ... ex_rb.html Helped me a lot, I can now jam with anybody if I figure out what key its in, which gets much easier after you practice.

ya, we are learning scales in guitar class now, but we aren't far enough to know what to play when.
