Hey - I used to post on the boards at the "old" DMBTABS a long time ago, but have been hovering over this new site and these boards for a while now - nice job Jkanter...it kicks your old site's ass..

I also wanted to throw in that I appreciate the lack of digs that show up on these boards - everyone seems ready and willing to help out with whatever anyone decides to ask about - very cool!

Well - besides all this -
I used to do some open mic nights at a local java joint here, doing some dave covers - (41, rapunzel, howie day, and - *gasp* John Mayer (before the poppy stuff came out) - but I haven't done one for a while..

Anyway, since Some Devil came out, I can't stop listening to it, and have been thinking about doing a cover of it for open mic night. My question is is this...I have looked at some tabs and figured out a pretty good version, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas to make the song sound a bit fuller, etc.

Just fishing for ideas..

i don't know, for some reason when i play the standard version of the song, im only hitting like 3 strings at a time but they are the right ones to make it sound kinda full i guess. there really is no way to do it w/ one guitar unless you barre everything, and that hurts after a while. sorry im of no help

i'm playing stay or leave at an acoustic night at my school, along with some other songs. i think it sound better if you have an amp and put on a little bit of reverb and echo, it sounds like it is on the D&T some devil one.
