Don't say it's easy
Well, I read the "Hardest Dave Songs" thread, and I couldn't help but notice some people calling certain Dave songs "easy". That's like a black belt saying a double roundhouse kick is easy. No Dave song is easy (perhaps with the exception of Typical Situation, and even then, singing to it is rather tough). Especially when I read some people saying the Tripping Billies verse is easy. Yeah, easy after loads of practicing!! That riff is just ridiculous, and even more difficult to sing along to.
Just try and remember, ease is not relative.

And in the end, the things we do are just the things we've done -- Corey Taylor, Stonesour

if you have flexible fingers crash is pretty easy, the strum pattern just takes a little practice... proudest monkey is rediculously easy
i dont know why but i can play billies verse consistently but still struggle from time to time with muting in the typical situation chorus... guess i just never practiced it much

dude once you get it, and once you stop changing your avatarcheckii wrote:ya, hearing all these people call all these dave songs easy was really killing my self-esteem.

haha, what a dickAppsoldier wrote:dude once you get it, and once you stop changing your avatarcheckii wrote:ya, hearing all these people call all these dave songs easy was really killing my self-esteem., you'll wonder why you couldn't get it in the first place. you'll start seeing the same chords over and over. there will still be some really hard stuff, but generally, once you get a couple of the harder ones, you'll get the rest really easily.

okay....cuz if you did, i think you'd find this is a relatively difficult song to sing and play...cool little riff though indeedTrippnBill686 wrote:lyrics have never impressed me much, so i've never tried learning themtjmac66pc wrote:can you sing PM at the same time??? i find this one really tough to sing and play at the same time...playing is really easy thoughTrippnBill686 wrote:proudest monkey & blue water

I find Crash hard to sing and play to. I dont think Dave songs are easy it all depends where your coming from on experience if all youve ever played before is Metallica then good luck cause your gonna need it. I myself started on Dave and am still Having trouble playing stuff granted that I dont take lessons and I've only played for 6 months. I can get down some of the tough ones but Billies is still a goal for me...
