Jimi thing verse help

hi guys, im trying to play jimi thing but im having problems with the verse i can't get the strumming down properly

could someone post a clip of the verse please ? thanks

Here's the diagram:

Jimi Thing verse strumming guide

d=down strum
u=upstrum

But both can be reversed or something like it.
Also, this song is not exactly the rhythm depicted here.  It really is more of a jazzy feel.

Pick up:
1  2  3 + 4+
          d du

1st measure:
1  2 + 3 + 4
d     d    d d

2nd measure:
1  2 + 3 + 4+
d     d    d du

Repeat from 1st since pickup is now in riff.

Hope this helps. I'll try and get a clip, but I don't have one right now. PM with questions, as I know some of the spacings above are off.
