Play high E flat on granny

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Play high E flat on granny

Unread post by j_towery3 » Fri Sep 05, 2003 1:21 am

On the granny tabs it shows, E---------------------------------------
B--5h7---5--3/5---5---3--------------
G--7-7---7--2/4---4---2--------------
D--7-7---7-----------------------------
A---------------------------------------
E------------------------------3---2---x
But I've seen Dave play it many times very close up and if you play and listen to dave you will see for sure that on the 577,777 he plays the high E string flat,It just makes it sound so much better and fuller like this,
E--0-0----0-----------------------------
B--5h7---5--3/5---5---3--------------
G--7-7---7--2/4---4---2--------------
D--7-7---7-----------------------------
A----------------------------------------
E-------------------------------3---2---x Try It Both Ways And Listen To L@LC
You'll see
DMB IS THE SH*T!!!!

I have a mandolin. It's hard for me to play it, because my fingers are just a tad to big for it. I wish they would make the neck wider. Oh well.

I play a little mandolin. The neck and frets are pretty damn tiny. And to sound good you have to have really agile fingers.

man looking at that tab, it looks like that's the hard way to play it (the first way i mean) i learned how to play it the second way from the Luther College tab book. see fatjack, im a pro tab book reader.

EDIT: i didn't mean pro as in professional, i meant pro as in for it.

with the open e string flat, granny sounds terrible. I don't know what you're talking about.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away
