Flint or Muncie anyone?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Flint or Muncie anyone?

Unread post by houseman101 » Thu Aug 21, 2003 11:43 pm

Hey, so this is my first post here, even though I've been surfing the site for several months. I've been playing (night and day) for a little over a year, and I just wish I knew someone in the area who wanted to hang out and play some tunes. I'm in Flint right now at school, but will be moving back to Muncie (near BSU) in October.

On another note (since I felt bad posting this in the Dave's Guitar Discussion), I'm having a little trouble learning Warehouse (mostly getting it up to tempo). Any suggestions from those of you who've mastered it?

Just start real slow. Take it step by step. Go reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeealy slow. Then, ever so slightly, start to speed up. Play that main riff like that, over and over, and keep speeding up slowly. That's how I did it. It's like learning to fingerpick...you just start slow and get faster and faster as you get more confident.

Good luck.

Thanks for the advice...I'll keep working on it. BTW, I got an IM from Crush40. He goes to the same school I do - it's a small world!

How does everyone like my avatar? Crazy thing is, I have a faint memory of getting that photo taken.

Here's a link to a full-size pic. I wish I had a mop like that now! LOL.
