i got this song for the most part, but the 4-2-2-1-0-0 E is pretty much impossible for me to get my pinky on the 4th fret and keep the E.

any other chords that'll work? or any suggestions?

I usually just hit the 6th string at the 4th fret only but make it ring and loud---sounds fine

theres another way to play that particular chord, E/G#. I have seen it played as 4x24--. It sounds a little bit "crash like" but it is so much easier to play. just emphasize the bass note and you've got it.

it sounds fine until i listen to Dave, but then again, thats Dave Matthews. heh

that's the same chord as the jimi thing chorus right? right when he says "shouldn't care..." or whatever. yea i cant do that at all. I mean i've got long fingers but for god's sake.... even the grace digger part where you put the pinky on the 3rd fret 6th string from the A-minor is hard! (but definetly not as hard) IMO anyways

yeah, just keep at it, your fingers should be able to make the stretch after a while. thats what happened with me anyway. its funny tho, my hands arent very big but i can make that stretch and a lot of other big stretches fairly easily, just flexible fingers i guess.

try the BOWA chord...that works...it sounds just as good, maybe even better than how Dave plays it :shock:

I think you should just keep practicing for a while cause both of those stretches(in Gravedigger and in Spoon) are really really easy for me to play..
