alternate picking songs ?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

alternate picking songs ?

hey guys,

other than the stone, what songs or parts of songs do you guys know for sure that dave alternate picks with?

also for jkanter, will you post in each song how long to play certain things, like the whole order of the song? just wondering. keep up the good work.

What do you mean by alternate picking? Is it just picking or what?

you mean picking down and up right? like in the main part of the stone?

Dave doesn't always do the same thing...

Satellite for example has been played with "alternate picking" and down picking...It's also been played with the infamous "equally timed downstrokes"...

Just play what feels right for you...

well... first of all, the stone is played with 3 downstrokes, then alternate picking the few notes on the d string i think.. i dont have my guitar in front of me
and sattellite is palyed with.. yes.. the 'equally timed downstrokes' (lol... i remember that one 8) ) its very important that you just sort of, strum wildly and mute the strings that arent supposted to ring
this as also very important on the stone to get the right timing/sound/tone


now.. to actually answer your question, whouse is not... hmmmmm... this one is hard... i havent played much dave in a long time... i dunno, someone else can answer this better than i can right now

and check out the thread called 'sattellite (sp?) strumming question'

i think its in this fourm
