Dave not the best singer/musician ever?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Dave not the best singer/musician ever?

Unread post by GreyStreet41 » Tue Nov 19, 2002 7:54 pm

So this past week at work I got into a discussion about Dave being one of the best all around musicians out there, and some said not hardly. It's hard for me to swallow when people say that Dave Matthews isn't one of the best musicians ever. I'm talking Singer/Musician. The band has 5 well-known CD's, and a numerous amount of Covers/Unreleased tracks that they do, and they are all played with a large amount of difficulty. But then to have to remember all the words to each song along w/ the music. It's incredible to me. I can't even remember all the words to all the songs, let alone the music. It's amazing how Dave doesn't mess up the words more often than he does. So I have to say, anyone who thinks Dave isn't one of the best all around musicians ever is freakin crazy!!

haha. I gotta say she can sing but she doesn't really sing at her concerts. With all that dancing and flailing about  it would be tough. she does lip sing though. She wears that headset and throws in a few things here and there. I usually just mute the T.V. when the videos come on. well I don't actually but some people do. :)

britney kills brain cells. dave and the band definitely ranks, i have some other greats in mind but dmb is soooo in the top five. i was at the gorge this september and they were on top of their game, seriously, i was so impressed with the professionalism i saw on that weekend particular. i have been playing the trumpet for 14 yrs and i have hung out alot with orchestra musicians, you can see the difference between professionals like leroi, carter, butch, and dave and less highly trained types like britney spears who doesn't write her own music.
