So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Hey ya'll
I was looking for the PDF file of all the DMB songs. I saw it on this board a while back and now I can't find it? Does anyone have it and could they upload it?
Thanks!

once you learn the "dave chords" and the strumming patterns, it will come fast. i found the best way for me to learn all the songs was to just play along with it

That's what I have been trying to do. I'm getting better at Dave chords. The string muting part is the hardest (i.e Tripping Billies)

you can always play around with what two fingers you use for the dave chords. like for
x
x
7
x
x
7
sometimes i'll use my index on the e string and my second finger on the g string and use the rest to mute. then i'll switch up and use my middle and ring fingers and also my ring and pinky. just figure out what works best for you and stick with it, sometime in the near future you'll be playing and all of a sudden it will just "click". and the panties will be droppin in no time

Hahaha. Awesome. Thanks for the advice. How do you get the strings to sound as loud as your pick when you use your fingers to pluck the strings?

I don't mean to dampen the musical excitement in here... but I say mattsox heads over to nDMB to hang out.
