So you think Dave completely switched to the new taylor 914?

As you probably know Taylor make the 914 model alittle different than they used to. The most noticeable changes are the inlay and the black headstock, but there are a few sonic changes including different top wood (sitka spruce instead of engelmann).

I keep seeying Dave with his old 914 (before all the changes) but I found some pictures of him with the new 914.

Do you think he's gonna play only the new 914 now?

I believe the pictures you have of Dave with the new 914 is when they were over in Europe. The crew has an entire "backup" rig that they keep internationally to make travel easier. They might not keep it internationally every tour but I'm pretty sure that when there are some gigs planned overseas, they do. Also, I believe the new 914's have multiple piece necks as opposed to one piece that Dave's old ones have. Can't guarantee that though.

That's not true. It's not custom. It's just an old "version" of 914.
