Jack Jonshon better quitar player than Dave?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

The first evidence I bring is "Taylor". You can check out the tabs here: http://www.azchords.com/j/jackjohnson-t ... 19373.html
Basically Jack rips up the beginning of this song and then is chill through until the end when he rips the shit out of his guitar again. He his is just probably way more advanced than Dave in the majority of his songs in both technique and just plain sounded good.

Does anyone here disagree, or do we think Jack Johnson is the reigning champ in this era?

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not, but I love that you use Taylor and say he "rips" through it. Dave would easily play that song and I was able to play it within 10 minutes of trying when I was still relatively new at guitar.

These vs. threads are stupid to begin with, but JJ is in no way better. 80% of his songs are barre chords, Taylor has a little fun rif in the beginning of it, big deal.

Yeah, JJ plays barre chords as Jayme said which only takes an ounce of skill. I'd like to see him play The Stone and some others.

that's why JJ is better! The quitar is tough to play cause it has 19 strings

Wow this is dumb...
I don't think Dave or Jack want to be known as "great guitarists". I think both could do more impressive things on the guitar if they chose to. They just prefer to be "great musicians".
