If you want an actual physical tuner, any Korg is good, and Sabine tuners are pretty good too (mine has a built in tuner, metronome, and pitch pipe).

I have a Sabine AX-2000 that is really nice.

My uncle bought it for me, it has this gummy back surface so you can attach it to the body of your guitar with it facing up to you while you tune, its really convenient.

Plus it has all 7 notes with sharps and flats, not just Low E, A, D, G, B, and high E.

I'm thinking about buying a Intellitouch PT1 Tuner or a Korg GA-30. Anybody have any luck with this models?

I own the Korg GA-30, and I don't have any major complaints. However, if you plan on using this tuner on stage or at a gig where the lighting isn't very good, you will have a hard time seeing the display. Other than that, I like this model.

I would stay away from "Guitar Tuners" and go with "Chromatic Tuners." I have a Korg chromatic I got for $20 which is extremely reliable. I tried tuning up once using a friend's guitar tuner, which was fine until I tried to tune into alternate tunings. It made it much more complicated than it should be; I don't even think I got to finish tuning because it wouldn't automatically recognize something like a C.

Intellitouch tuners are notorious for being a pain in the ass for tuning the low E string. Other than that they are not bad for the money.

This should really be moved to the Musician's Gear forum though.

My Korg Chromatic CA-30 is pretty damn good and it only costs around $20 bucks.

The KORG GA-30 works great, def a great buy for the money. It's digital, very small and light and accurate. And has a bass option. In my opinion it is def worth what I paid for it. Thanks for everyones suggestions.
