Whats the deal with Dave's 12 string?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

At around 5:30 during Grey Street, and a lot thereafter, it shows what looks like a broken string on Dave's guitar. I've also seen the same thing on several other videos. Is it a broken string, or some kind of recording thing?

It's gotta be a broken string. That'd be a bizarre place for some sort of mic.

Well it wasnt there at the start of Grey Street and then it appeared in the middle after screening through the band so it must have been a broken string. Btw. I would hate to be Monk and tune that thing/change strings.

Thanks for bringing this video up. This was always one of my favorite vids.
