So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I am actually slowly trying to learn this verse too, I am starting to get the hang of it. I think he only strums down the whole time on the verse. See if this video helps you at all, http://youtube.com/watch?v=e00oPaJT8_A

Code: Select all

E:--------------------------------
B:---------------------------------
G:----6--4/--0----7------4/5-------
D:----2--2---0----7-------------9--
A:--------------3/5-------------9--
E:-5------------------8~~~~~--5/7--

i strum everything down stroke until 3/577 which i start with a downstroke but then up and down a few time on the 577, then back to downstrokes

ya ive been taking it part of the song one step at a time. nature intro has reallly helped me extend my fingers better the only thing i get annoyed with is the slide at the end of the nature intro...i cant make it sound that good but its gettin better by the day.

the chrous i can do but when u come back up from 2XX2 to 3XX4 then sliding to 7XX7 i watched the videos a lot and i see the 7xx7 part he hits maybe like one up downstroke and then goes to 5XX6 and then back to 7XX7 i cant make it it sound right on that spot as well....but practice practice practice!

This one didn't take me too long to learn. I guess it was easy to learn, but rather hard to perfect.

Im just not hitting the notes perfect yet. Im right by saying that u are supposed to do all downstrokes for the verse except the 799 part right?
