Two Step Fills and other musical things...
Hey Guy,
I am trying to get my guitar Teacher to choose Two step for my guitar class.
being that two step if fairly easy but not everyone in the class has been paying for 5+ years and are most closeminded they mind find this strange, and maybe difficult. Dave's fingering are pretty funky.
My idea is to take the Studio ver. off of Crash get all the guitar parts tabbed out(already have most of the intro, pretty easy by ear).
then after the studio ver. is down to add the live fills, usually played at the end. with all those eight note rests n' things.
My question is,
anyone have any good fills to add to it, all i really need is the song, and if at all possible the time the fill comes in. I don't have any live ver. except Live at the gorge and a crowd rec. from DMB's Island getaway on Randalls Island 06.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks.

Boyds solo is tabbed out for guitar on the main page if you click the link on the side of the two step tab page. And i agree, that red rocks version is kick ass w/ timmy's fills. I'm gonna listen to that right now

First off,
Thanks guys, I'll try to get a copy...which I'm sure I'll eventually have just be a while, only have 4,5 albums out of the 10+ official ones, hahaha. Damn are these guys good.
Anyway, I am doubting my teacher will choose it, but I see it as a great way for the class to look at music as melody, harmony, and structuring a song, while being open minded,m which seems to be a quality in all great musicians.
As for this:
I have yet to look at DMBtab's trans. of Boyd's solo, and I am disapointed that the Two Step tab doesn't have the album's guitar riffs from the intro andm and the others. Some cool stuff there to play if you have multiple guitars for a live performance.
Thanks again guys, and good luck with the search Kemi.

I believe that is what you are saying, dmfollower wrote:Boyds solo is tabbed out for guitar on the main page if you click the link on the side of the two step tab page. And i agree, that red rocks version is kick ass w/ timmy's fills. I'm gonna listen to that right now
It is Boyd's Violin played with his fingers instead of a bow. I suprised that you say you can't find a good tab o0f it. Sounds quite simple(like the guitar lead/solo at the intro of the studio ver.Crash-0:16)kemi wrote:ok i have been to a ton of dmb guitar tab sites and i can not get the gist of "Two step" guitar solo, some were close to it, but they didn't have the guitar solo that starts at 2.29 minutes into the song. Is there a place where i can get that long solo??
