So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Playing 'Say Goodbye' - Help for a semi-beginner

Unread post by Khazzam » Thu Jan 04, 2007 2:14 am

Hey guys Ive been playing guitar for about 6 monthes now and have mostly relied on the web to teach myself.

I was hoping someone might be able to elaborate on the say goodbye tab on this website and/or instruct me on any easier ways to play it as I am having some difficulty, particularly playing the Low E, A, and G while muting the D string. If you have any advice/other tabs/videos or anything that might help please let me know

Thanks!

I mute the D string with the finger that plays the A string.

Same here. It should be pretty easy/ self explanatory to mute that D string with the index that plays the A string. Maybe start out with some of songs that play these type of "Dave chords" and then move on to Say Goodbye
