LIOG recappin
Ok so I have been playing LIOGs i finally can mute and hit single notes better with the "dave strum" heh. What Im confused with is the chorus where it is
E:-2-------------------------------------
B:-3------------------1-------------------
G:-2--------2---------2--0h2--0-----------
D:-0--2--4-----4--0---2----------4--2--4--
A:----------------------------------------
E:----------------------------------------
1 4 1 4 (1) 4 1 4
how do u go about hitting a zero...mute strings below it? or just do a single pick at the note instead of strum? and my last question is during the fast jam....can anyone tell me the strumming pattern for when dave speeds it up? or is all down up down up down strums?[/code]

well to answer your first question, the only thing you strum is the chords, all the notes in between are controlled downstrokes that hit one string.
I dont touch strumming pattern questions, just listen to a dave & tim version of the song

i have to believe he does, i think his right hand moves too much to alternate pick that and its definitely not strummedAppfro wrote:yea. dave is a nice mix of mute and control. and parts like that you just have to have enough control to only hit the notes you want to hit. for all of the single notes i only use downstrokes. don't know if that's what dave does or not

- Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": "I once saw this in a movie, it was about a bus that had to keep it's "speed" above 50, and if it's "speed" dropped, it would explode...I think it was called "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down"!

i was just fucking with you, just work on big downstrokes from a sharp angle that hit only one string, practice doing it on each string
