Don't imagine he would have different equipment for Dave and Tim settings.

Most likely. Dave was probably playing around with it and just made up a new song.. What we know as Idea Of You.

Excuse my ignorance if I'm way out in left field, but isn't Dave's Veillet 12-string a soprano?DrumsFoDaSoul wrote:Yakko wrote:Is that where Dave got the Idea?Tim's Guitars (both past and present):

on a quick sidenote here, i just saw Tim live on Friday night.
holy crap, he is so amazing solo. I would say, I enjoyed seeing Tim solo, almost as much as seeing DMB.

It says on the site that his gear is both from the past and present, I would wager that the stuff there is pretty dead on with his setup and that he probably didnt add much to his rig for the stuff that he does with Dave.
However if you go to the next page with the explenation of his gear setup, scroll down and it says that during Dave and Tim tours he had a Morley Pro Series 1 Wah Volume (PWV) to a Boss DD-5 Digital Delay and then to a Countryman direct box. In 2000 he switched his Morley for a Ernie Ball Mono volume pedal for the D&T tours.
It also says that Tim has used it in conjunction with the Line 6 Delay modular. The Digital Delay allows for him to get those swelling effects. Settings for it and I quote from the site:

"For the delay pedal setting, I usually have it set to mode# 3 for those kind of swells (although 4 is good for spacier stuff). Then the E.level is at about 1 o'clock, F.back at 12 o'clock (which can be varied to taste), and D.time is at the max. I use the reverse function for the weirdest stuff."
DMB shows attended: 4/12/05 - Molson Amphitheater, 9/12/06 @ Air Canada Centre.
Upcoming: DMB June 9th 2009 @ Molson Amphitheater

I saw tim a few months ago at a littel venue in cincinnati, stood front row, probably 5 feet away from him, it was amazing. Id put it up there with a dmb show, completely different but equally fungravesRR7 wrote:on a quick sidenote here, i just saw Tim live on Friday night.

yea i saw tim like 2 fridays ago in manhattan, and he had some sweet loops and delay that i had not heard before, which i suspect is what the cool stuff is in vegoose. i wish i got a peek at his board. all the stuff on his page was old in 2000...and alot has come along in 6 years (mainly i want to know if he uses a multi nowadays, and which). guess ill have to google a tim reynolds forum
