Recently Question. People stare part...
I learned recently a while back and i was trying to play along to the cd the other day and realized i was lost during people stare part. After the people stare riff does dave go back into the verse or does he just do the riff over and over? Thanks for any help.

it's basically the same as the intro..minus the first 2 chords I believe. Yeh just keep working on it. I always found it to be difficult because of the stretching, but you'll get it...eventually

Dave changes it up for the slow one when he plays with Tim, sometimes he goes right back into the verse, sometimes he does the 5-3-2-0 to end it and then starts the verse again...(he does both with the band too I think...)Versacci41 wrote:I'm talking about the slow and fast people stare parts...i know how to play them, i just don't know if the riff is repeated or if you play the verse riff after playing it once through..(if that makes sense.)
for the slow one you play that "bass riff" like 10 times through the whole "people stare" part and then back into the verse when you get to the end of "go away, go away, go away, be gone..." off-hand I think on "gone" is when you'd switch back to the verse, I usually bring it back quietly and get louder to flow back into the verse nicely...
for the other ones, it flows right with the words - you end up playing it like this:
I don't play the very last two notes, the 4-5 on the D string, so that I can make a better transition back to the first chord, plus you get a nice little pause out of it...(just on the first time around)
People stare, and we just ignore - what's the use in
