Who is a better guitarist? Jack Johnson or John Mayer?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Why not discuss it? If you can't beat Dave, why not figure out who is the next best? Personally, I think Jack is better.

Mayer, he knows more theory, he is faster, and he has more complex rhythms....but it really doesn't matter..

THis isn't even a contest. JM by far. I hate JM and I love JJ, but all he does is play barre chords, I don't think he has written a song without the smae 5 chords in them. JM is much better.
I think people think that maybe theres more chance I'll play if they sound mad and I'm like you guys are just pretending, I know why you go to the gym its for the steam room big boy, come in here with that '41' stuff, I see through that tiger DM 3-19

LOL, that’s pretty true....but he has those cool licks...and there’s something about his sound, even though it can seem repetitive. JM does vary chords more.

Mayer is definitely a better guitarist, more learned in theory and all that, just watch him play "Neon". However, I also like Jack JOhnson a hell of a lot more.
