Two Step jam

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Two Step jam

Unread post by dmb9384 » Wed Aug 30, 2006 12:37 am

I've posted a thread about this before but I'm having a tough time finding it... so sorry for the repeat... but...

Does anyone know how to play the jam at the end of Two Step when Dave and Tim play the song on their acoustics?? The version included in the Lost Acoustics collection would be an example... thanks to anyone who can help out.

This is what he plays over and over in the end while timmy solos.

i'll agree, Tripping Billies is just incredibly difficult to play, i'm not a singer, but i know it's hard enough to sing and play at the same time, so i imagine trying to play a hard ass song like that AND sing is very hard to do.

The Stone is somewhat difficult as well. As for Two Step, i don't consider it all that hard, the rhythm is tough to master though.

Satellite is also tricky, you have to train your hand to get into that 4 6 8 position, but once you master that, it's not too bad

I've been trying to get my Warehouse to sound like Dave's for the past few months and still haven't been successful, i'd say it's a tough song too. It's crazy that he can get it to sound the way it does

Tell me about it. Definately one of DMB's tougher songs to play on guitar.

i think that tripping billies is not as hard as the stone for some reason.

i agree with that too. the stone is much more difficult to play and sing. its just hard getting down that 5-5--2-3-2 part to sound good but once you get it its a piece of cake.

Code: Select all

e--------------------
b--------------------

e---10----6----8---
This way sounds good too. Let the d-string ring out the whole time.
