Crash Into Me with a Capo
Crash Into Me with a Capo
Does anybody know what chords this person is playing when he is playing Crash Into Me with a capo? It looks capo 2 but I'm not really sure, the quality isn't very good. He starts jammin out to Crash Into Me a little after 3:30.

yeah....i dont know what chords he's playing then. i dont see the point in playing CITM with a capo anyways, since you have to hit the open A string.brian_ok wrote:um, I'm pretty damn sure that's a capoHydro120 wrote:my guess is that he's either playing with capo 2 and has everything tuned down a full step (which is retarded if thats the case), or there is no capo and its just a really really shiny fret.

No it's not. Frets get smaller as you go down the fretboard, making stretches (such as the fairly large, constant one in crash) much easier to sustain over long periods of time (or if you have small hands, as I do). If he's capo'd at 2 and tuned down a step, then there's no difference in the notes.Hydro120 wrote:my guess is that he's either playing with capo 2 and has everything tuned down a full step (which is retarded if thats the case), or there is no capo and its just a really really shiny fret.
I guess you have a point. On one hand, stretches aren't that big a deal once you get used to them, but on the other hand, why make it harder than you need to?bbatsell wrote:No it's not. Also, I'm interested in this capo for crash... I hate doing that stretch I can get like 3/4 of the song before my hand just starts to kill. I usually have to switch to that easier little version that is on the tab on this website.

My hand used to kill halfway through too, but I think if you stick it out your hand gets stronger over time and it's not as hard. I remember I used to play along to Luther College a lot and going from satellite into crash used to kill my hand, but now it doesn't bother me at all.Grachi wrote:neither does dave... anymore.whatshername wrote:i know one thing, he doesn't hit the high notes in crash.
