Intermediate Dave Songs

Unread post by Granny33 » Tue May 20, 2003 1:12 pm

Hey, I know there's already a thread for beginner songs, but I can play that stuff. What would songs would you guys rate a little harder than those listed in the beginner thread?

i'd say WWYS, the chorus part of Tripping Billies, The Best of What's Around, and Warehouse.... I'm sure there are others but those are the ones i tackled after crash, two step, and monkey :D

I'd agree about the Billies chorus. Same with Grey Street, the verse that is, I think. Maybe LIOG??? Its a fun one that requires a good amount of speed. One Sweet World might be a good one too.

The chorus of TB? I always thought that was easy. It was the verse that I had trouble with. OSW would be an intermediate song to learn I would guess. It's a little difficult to play the mutes and stroke at the same time. Satelite just looks hard but once you get the verse down, the rest of the song is simple. Seek Up, 41, BEF, YNK (the only really hard part about the is the verse, everything else is simple if you know where to play it.), Spotlight, Gravedigger, and Loving wings are always fun to learn. Just my opinion. So there. Man, that made me sound tough. I kinda liked it.

If at first you don't succeed, try again. Then give up. There's no use being a damn fool about it.

are you supposed to hit each chord twice, like 7 7 9 9 11 11 and so on?

Yes Granny33, you hit each note twice with a down up strum, just keep strumming down and up the whole time and hope your left hand keeps up. Its hard at first but keep trying, it'll click one day.

At least it's understandable for a Warehouse tab. Now, if he pasted Proudest Monkey in there.....then we could start asking questions...ha

Rhyme or reason is definitely an intermediate song if not a hard one.
I still can not get BOWA to flow smoothly. That song pisses me off because it rocks so much and I can't PLAY IT! :x :x

Another intermediate song is recently.

And it's very tough to match Dave's rhythm in Help Myself.
