guitar question... moving the thumb on the stone

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

guitar question... moving the thumb on the stone

Unread post by 2steppin2-41 » Thu May 15, 2003 6:45 pm

I was just wondering if anyone moves their thumb while playing the first part on the stone or do you keep it planted. I have never thought much about it before, but I have the charlie rose show w/dave playing the stone and it looks like he changes position to play the chord. I know it probably doesn't make much difference in the sound, but just curious.
Its cold as hell outside
But our fire is bright
And in your eyes
I can see what is on my mind
You got me wild
Turned around inside
