Dave's Singing
How did Dave get into singing? Was he always naturally good with it? (I know there is some debate on whether the technique is good, but its a matter of preference)

As far as i know dave started playing the guitar when he was like 12 or so and later on he got into acting and then after working at millers he started doing open mic with timmy. I don't think dave had any prior voice lessons, probably not until the band started. I'm sure someone else will have a much more in-depth answer than i.

-in regards to playin with Tim. Dave's first time playing with Reynolds was not until 3.10.93 @ the Flood Zone, and his second time with Tim is the Prism Coffee House show which is very popular among all D&T fans. I am relativley sure Dave sang in Chorus throughout schooling and acting as mentioned above. As far as i know dave started playing the guitar when he was like 12 or so and later on he got into acting and then after working at millers he started doing open mic with timmy. Yah I know, That show is so laid back and great for doin my homework. Dave states at the end of satelliete in the show that this is the second time they have actually played together. Pretty Amazing huh! If you listen at the end of tripping billies track before Two Step, Dave says that this song [two Step] would be challenging for Timmy because he has probably never heard it in his life. This is all according to Dmbalmanac as the second show they've played too. The guy who introduces Dave and Tim says that he saw them play at a Benefit Concert back in the fall. Well they did play a benefit as their first time together, but it was 3.10.93, not the fall like the guy said. This is all according to DMBalmanac.com. So something is offjsgksu wrote:Are you serious? That was only their second time together? That is the most amazing D&T show, deffinatley my fav.Lbacker wrote:-in regards to playin with Tim. I wonder if he meant the second time they had played together or the second time they performed together. Could be a bid difference. Although with Tim I don't think it really matters, he could probably pick any song up right away.Lbacker wrote:Yah I know, That show is so laid back and great for doin my homework. Practice, doing the same thing for almost 20 years and having the best equipment and sound engineers money can buy.
Dave's voice is different, his phrasing and the way he makes certain "noises" sets him apart. Now there are many imitators
