So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

yeah, great song. it's one of the first i learned too play. i'm still working on singing along with it. my strumming tends to gradually speed up when i start singing. it sounds good playing solo.

i agree totally, maybe dave matthews is some sort of prophet sent from God, to deliver the message of what a singer songwriter should be.

Yeah I really dont agree with that...Maybe slightly more simple in terms of guitar work, but sometimes the simple stuff is the best. Its a great song...lots of emotion and some powerful lyrics. I think its up there with the best.

i dont think cry freedom is simple at all. there are many chords which just sound great together. one of the most beautiful progressions dave has come up with imo. also one of the first five songs i learned of dave

guys...come on...when I say worst "dave song" you gotta take it lightly...I mean...dave's worst "older" song to me(not even cry freedom) would be the best song in the world compared to every other band's...when I say its dave's worst, I mean it's...FUCKIN AMAZINGLY INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!

but come on....cry freedom or so much to say?

I'd rather hear so much to say...

on another note, what do "yall" think is dave's worst, defintely excluding all of everyday and busted stuff......I would say proudest monkey, or seek up....(KEEPING IN MIND MY THEORY FROM ABOVE)...

why exclude busted stuff? are you implying that all those songs are just bad without say so? crash and BS are my favorite albums. if i had to choose the worst song i would probably pick Dreaming Tree. this song has great lyrics but i cant stand the whole instrumentation in the song

i love the song halloween but i prefer the raw, in your face version from recently so i usually skip over the btcs version. thats the best i could come up w/ cuz you all know about phases w/ dave songs. freakin hard question. also maybe proudest monkey. great song to chill too it occasionally gets skipped (sorry dave :( ) :)
