help with big eyed fish please

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

dont slide when you FIRST start the song, but from then on, slide from 2 -> 7 and 4->9

Jason, why are you being so disrespectful? If the guy wants to learn a new song let him, don't just bash his choice, that's crap.

first of all, big eyed fish IS a dave matthews song. just reminding you. if you wanna bash Dave, go somewhere else. second, did you think for a moment that he might be a beginner? big eyed fish is WAY easier than tripping billies. or perhaps he's been playing for a long time, and like me, has trouble finding new Dave stuff to play.

Big Eyed Fish isn't really a new song, it was on the lillywhite sessions. Besides the lyrics kick ass, I guess their a liitle to deep for some though.

quite frankly,I really dont give a shit about lyrics, it just so happens that dave is one of the best lyricists ever. I would listen to dave even if his lyrics werent so great. It's the beat and uptoneness that makes him so great. If you want lyrics go write poetry guy or listen to bands that create sad depressing music. I hate sad songs that make it sound like dave's just about to kill himself. I think it sucks that daves songs are going that route more and more.

dmbfanjason u gotta chill my friend...why would you go off on the guy for asking a question...for being the 'dmbfan' that you say you are, you sure aren't acting like it...i say you change your name of change your attitude...and by the way i can play all the songs, but catch myself playing BEF all the time....it's catchy...and your favorite songs to play aren't necessarily everybody elses so chill

If you don't give a shit about lyrics how do you know he's a great lyricist?
Kind of contradictory don't you think?

Thread is officially closed......No more bashing on the boards, honestly. We're all here to chill and play some music....Whether you like a song or not has no bearing on anyone else. No fighting or bashing or anything of the sorts...just chill and enjoy the good music, great tabs, and common bond....peace
