Let You Down Question

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Let You Down Question

Unread post by dannyboy » Tue Oct 04, 2005 4:30 pm

Hey guys. I'm trying to learn Let You Down, but I can't seem to get the strumming right. I've been looking around for a video or something but I can't find one anywhere? Can any of you guys help me out? Thanks.

I happen to be in the same boat as you with this one. Great song but for one reason or another I struggle with it. I don't think a video or anything exists for it. Try putting a post here:

...and maybe Nitro will do it.

Uh, its in 3/4, except for the "I have no lid......" part, which is in 6/8.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I would do it if I had a digital camera. I got break next week so when I'm home I'll try to put out a few more vids.

Yea, guys, I fucked up that time signature list. The song is in 2/4, but the strumming is triplets. And the "I have no lid" is just hitting the down beats.

i always remind my self that the base note is played for the bar yet to come and not the one playing, so just before the next bar, swap the base notes and be sure to get the mute on the up stroke.
maby try the t-shirt strumming technique
