So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

You strum the --775x chord once then immediatley hammer to --777x with your pinky and the pause then three strums then back to --775x. That is how I play it at least, if youre only problem is with the rhythm and when to hammer on, try to listen to a solo or dave and tim version of it. The timing on this song is weird and tends to change but you should be able to figure that part out by listening and playing along.

so when i actually play it, would look like below and i wait after i play where the 'w' is then continue to the next part

Code: Select all

       (w)
E:--------------------------
B:-5----7--7--7--7----5---
G:-7----7--7--7--7----7--
D:-7----7--7--7--7----7--
A:--------------------------
E:--------------------------

Yeah thats pretty much it. I am extremely bored and am jumping on any excuse to put this paper I gotta write off so I recorded a little 30 second clip of the song. Its a little rough and for some reason it skips at the beginning but it might help. Check it out and let me know if it does anything for you.
