The Maker.............please help

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

It's not easy by any stretch. When Dave plays it solo he doesn't use the slides...just open chords which is much easier and still sounds good.

As for using the full band version solo...it can be very, very tricky. It's really all about making sure the slides are on point and clear and concise. You have to listen to it without actually playing...BUT while moving your hands. Don't strum...just move your left hand to the song as Dave does without strumming and get that part down...should be easier there.

Try to find the Chicago 1998 video and it will help with everything...ENJOY!

Use the alternate tab. That's how I play it.

My buddy can do the other part which is the slide part which Dave used to do when he first began covering this track. That would sound cool along with another guitar playing the alternate vs. of the tune.

One of my favorite covers to play live.

i prefer it solo or with tim, the slides thing make it sound like a buffet cover, nothing wrong with that, but the maker isnt a buffet style song
